Customer Corner: Atlas Construction

Steve Hric, owner of Atlas Construction, has been a regular at BRBS for about 17 years. His business is versatile, focusing on general construction but branching out into many different areas. We asked him some questions about running his construction company, being a customer of BRBS, and everything in between. Check out his spotlight in our April circular, too!

  1. How long have you been a customer of BRBS? “17 plus or minus years”
  1. What makes you decide to stick with us as a regular customer? “BRBS treats me like a member of a large family they want to help my business grow and succeed.”
  2. How does BRBS help you in your day-to-day business life? “I do a lot of remodeling and always in need to research new and different building materials. The Blue Ridge team is always ready and able to help me in any way.”
  1. What do you like the most about BRBS? “The men and women are always happy and willing to help me and my team, I can count on them getting me the best products at the best pricing and on time frame.”
  1. What type of business do you run? “My company does additions, remodels, new constructions and commercial remodels and up fits. I also have handyman division, for the homeowner market.”
  1. What type of jobs do you do, and what are your favorite jobs to work on? “My favorite jobs are home remodels, taking an older home and transfixing it into a new and interesting living space. Helping in making the home owner dreams come to reality.”
  1. What are some of your favorite hobbies outside of work? “I like to trail run in the Blue Ridge with my wife Wesley and dog Luke. I also like to spend time with my young son and help grow and develop into a good man.”

  1. What is something unique that most people don’t know about you or your business? “That we have a fabrication shop here in Crozet and make specialty projects.”
  1. If you could choose 3 of your favorite materials we sell, what would they be and why?
    1. CertainTeed siding–Price point, product durability, workability.
    2. Mirtec—Price point, product durability, how it looks in place.
    3. Ben Moore paint—quality, quality.”
  1. If someone asked you to explain what BRBS is all about, what would you tell them? “They are there to help everyone be successful in their quest may it be a homeowner building a fence for the first time of the professional painting contractor getting there order together or researching new building codes for framing contractors build safe and correctly.”
  1. What is one thing you really want others to know about your or your business? “That we stand behind everything we do and put quality and safety first at all times.”
