Employee Spotlight: Brandon Campbell

Brandon is one of our newer employees, but he has fit right into our BRBS family! You can find him if you visit our Crozet store, manning the front sales desk and happily helping customers. Learn more about Brandon in his spotlight interview below!

What do you like most about your job at BRBS? “What I enjoy the most about working at Blue Ridge is sense of family – teamwork environment.”

Describe your journey at BRBS. “My journey at BRBS just started.”

Describe “a day in the life” of your job. What do you do in a typical day? “My day starts at 6:50. Regulars come in every morning around 7, some before. Phones like to start ringing around 9 with homeowner questions. The day goes by quickly to the afternoon and slows down around 4 and I call it a day at 5.”

What are a few of your favorite hobbies outside of work? “Hiking and biking, working out, woodworking, fishing, traveling.”

What is your favorite movie, TV show, or book? Favorite musician or music genre? “Movie – Batman; Show – Tog Gear; Book – Camp Zombie; Music – whatever”

Where is your favorite place to visit or vacation to take? “The beach – all beaches.”

Describe your family. “Married 5 years, one child 3 months old.”

What is your biggest goal for the next 5 to 10 years at BRBS? “Biggest goal is to step up in the rankings, I’m currently the newest member of the sales team and hope to reach a higher rank.”

Name 3 words you would use to describe what BRBS means to you. “Quality. Honesty. Sincere.”

What is at the very top of your bucket list? “Honestly to be happy – or to own a ’69 Chevelle SS.”

What is a random fact that most people don’t know about you? “I know how to play the piano.”

What is one thing you’ve learned about yourself since working at BRBS? “Even though I’ve been out of construction a few years, I still love being a part of it.”

If you could go back to when you first started your job, what is one piece of advice you would give your past self? “Make sure to smile and greet everyone. Make sure to also learn everyone’s name.”

What is your motto in life? It’s not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me.”
